Softly Scalloped Nightie

A simple to knit, yet sophisticated looking nightgown.  Soft for sleeping or lounging, with a graceful, flowing skirt, adjustable waist, and loosely knit eyelash top that easily adapts to different widths.

(Also available in the 2008 book by Sterling Publishers called New Ideas for Today's Knitting.)

Sizes

Two sizes —Woman’s Average listed first, Woman’s Extra Large is in parentheses

As Knit:  Skirt: 58” (72)” / Top: 42” (53”)  (approx)

Will Fit Sizes:  Bust measurement fits between 30” – 48” (48” – 60”)

Due to the loose knit of the fabric and natural give of the eyelash yarn, top sizes will adapt to different widths, since it can stretch out widthwise, or pull down lengthwise making it narrower in width, when worn. Waist size is very adjustable with center tie.

400 (500) yards of soft, worsted weight brushed or mohair-style acrylic yarn (more if longer skirt is desired).

Eyelash Yarn for top:

120 (150) yards short eyelash style yarn

Hidden Heart Nightie

A snuggly soft nightgown with front tie panels that cover an inset panel which reveals a lace heart and front side slits hiding beneath, (that also makes it useful as a nursing gown!) Adjustable straps tie along the back and adjust the width to fit. Written in 5 sizes, and easily adjustable with ties when worn.      (Also available in the 2008 book by Sterling Publishers called New Ideas for Today's Knitting.)

Garter Shell Lace Wimple

(Smoke ring or hood)

This dressy but practical head and neck covering starts with a scalloped garter edge, then a simple shell lace with garter stitch for the main body. The tube width is slowly narrowed for a snugger fit around the head and face when worn up, and to sit neatly around the neck when worn down.

Sure Fit Sampler Hat

A simple to knit hat, worked in the round, or flat and sewn, with a hidden ribbed band under the turned up cuff that helps the hat fit, and stay on. Also looks wonderful in color-changing yarns, especially Noro's Kureyon and Silk Garden, or with the sections knit in different solid color bands.

Shipping Cost: First and second pattern shipping cost is $1.50 total, 50 cents for each additional pattern included in your order. US Orders for 5 or more patterns ship for $3.00 flat fee! 

Sales Tax: Illinois Residents only must add 7% state sales tax to the pattern cost of printed patterns (sub-total before adding shipping fee amount).

After purchasing the patterns through the PayPal shopping cart, you will receive an email with instructions for downloading the files you have ordered. 

Please save the files to your computer for future use.  The file download option will expire after you receive the pattern, so be sure to save your copy on your hard drive or to a disc.

All patterns, both printed and PDF file versions, are fully protected by copyright, as stated on each pattern. 

You may make a working copy of a pattern only for your personal, non-commercial use. Do not post to the internet, include on a website, or republish in any form without prior written permission from author.

PDF files may not be shared or posted on any website, forum, or email list, in their original or modified form.

Patterns may not be shared for guild use or classroom teaching.  If you are interested in a group purchase of multiple copies of a pattern, please email me for a possible discount.
